It’s time to iron your terrible towels, and dance to the Steeler Polka. It is playoff time can I get a Whoop Whoop! WOW here we go again, bring on the Donkeys baby. Rocky mountain high, what kind of song is that, John Denver? I’d rather listen to a little Donnie Iris, Love is like a rock, or Drink up Yinz Bitches being played by Dex our Steelers D.J. In fact we are bringing Chuck Vee and his live Polka band this Sunday to play the Pittsburgh Polka for Yinz. That is Heinz Field West, so come join over a 1000 of your closest Black and Gold family this Sunday. Arrive early first 100 fans in attendance who paid the cover charge or paid for a tailgate table will receive a t-shirt or hat from one of our sponsors, while supplies last.

I respect Tim Tebow as a person and I love my Lord my savior, but we all know God is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and James Harrison and Troy Polomalu are going to get some. Who remembers the AFC championship game in 2006 against the Broncos in Denver, a game we helped send Jake Plummer into early retirement our “D” had 3 sacks and 4 Int. If you don’t remember we kicked those Donkeys all over the field and played in Detroit against the Seahawks for the Super Bowl Baby, and the rest is history. I love when history repeats itself. As you know or should know game time is at 2:30 pm this Sunday January 8th. As you should also know there is no better place to watch the game, unless you are at the game, Harold’s Corral, is Heinz Field West.

Ok Steeler fans – Are we all giving up already? Really, are you kidding me? Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Yeah uh ahhh you know what it is. Yes, that is correct. If I can sing Black and Yellow the Steelers can come back and win the division and much more. By the way, my wife loves it when I sing Black and Yellow. My point being, there are people that are saying Lamar Woodley was not worth the money and then all the sports media feel the need to chime in by saying we are washed up and old – that is just BS! I even heard some of our fans saying we are too old. That is unacceptable! Although, I will be the first to admit, I was one of those people on Sunday. I blame it on the alcohol, and I have seen the light, Coors Light that is. Forget all the BS and let’s step up and play Pittsburgh football and cheer like the fans that we are!

Here is The Good, Bad, and the Ugly. First, the good: we are 2 and 2 and one game out of first place in our division. Second, the bad: we are not playing Steelers football. AND LAST, the Ugly: we are tied with Cleveland, the “stinky poopy Browns” and that is a direct quote from my 4 year old daughter, wow!

Lets start in reverse order, the Ugly – tied with the Browns and Bengals. I know, I know, tied with the Brownies, how could this be? This one I am not worried about. It is the Browns; they still suck and will always suck. We have beaten them 14 out of the last 15 times we have played. What’s going to change this year? If it’s brown flush it down.

The Bad – The Steelers are not playing Steelers football. This one I am a little concerned about. Every year you read this from me – RUN, RUN, RUN, the football. Does everyone remember last year when Big Ben was suspended for four games and the Steelers went 3 and 1? Guess what? They ran the ball! Arians, Tomlin, please make that commitment. Did you see what Isaac Redman did on Sunday? I did. I love this kid Redman and I have no problem with him splitting carries with Mendenhal, We have passed the ball 139 times and ran the ball only 101 times – that is ridiculous! Last year when we went 3 and 1 we passed 106 times compared to the 127 running plays without Big Ben. Wake up coaches, it is that simple. I know you are not going to win games by just running the ball all the time, but what you will do is 1) you won’t get Big Ben killed 2) you won’t turn the ball over like we have this year, 3) It is much easier to run block for our O-line than it is to pass block, and our O-line needs all the help it can get. Let’s hope Max Starks is going to help 4) control time of possession and keep your defense fresh for the end of the game when it counts. I love our young receivers but let’s get the ball to Hines Ward and Heath Miller more across the middle instead of going long ball every other pass play. The other non Steelers football behavior is the coaching and I feel the need to call Mike Tomlin out on this one – Here are 3 things you can work on, Mike 1) start working out, your belly is starting to show 2) time to give us a little Bill Cower impersonation on the sideline – start spitting and grabbing players facemasks, get pissed off because we are. 3) Time management – I knew when we wasted 2 time outs early in the second half it would hurt us and why did we not challenge the 3rd down reception by Houston? Simple coaching people 4) Smack Bruce Arians in the head and tell him to run the ball at least 50% of the time.

The Good – we are the greatest franchise in the NFL, we have the greatest fans in the NFL, we have started off 2 and 2 and have made it to the Super Bowl before! We can do this, and you can bet your chipped chopped ham eating Steeler Polka dancing, black and gold butt we will. We still have 5 games against division teams. The most important one now seems to be against Baltimore on November 6th. Look out baby, Joe Flacco will be feeling the pain! It is just as important for us, as fans, to cheer our team on so I better see Yinz here this Sunday. All fans who have season passes, it’s time to show up with Towels in hand. To all those fans who don’t have season passes – there is plenty of room inside and especially on our patio. The weather is beautiful now – nice and cool. We need all Yinz to show up to support our boys against the Tennessee Titans – oooh be afraid of the Titan, please! Feel the Steel baby, it is coming this Sunday. See Yinz at Harold’s – Bloody Mary’s start pouring at 8 am sharp.

Yinzers Unite

SOS: CALLING ALL YINZERS. CALLING ALL YINZERS.

Time to get it on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! At Harold’s, Harold’s, Harold’s. As you can tell I am still drunk from that woodshed beating our boys took last Sunday. Wow. I know everyone may be a little worried after that poor display; after all we just spent millions of dollars resigning Woodley, Polamalu and Lawrence Timmons. They totaled only one sack and a few tackles…not the best return of investment (almost as good as the Obama’s health care plan). Anyhow don’t you worry Black and Gold faithful, this is still the team that had the best defense in the league last year and they’ll get it together this week against Seattle. Haha! Poor little Seattle, how would you like to be the quarterback for them this week?? The Steelers are at home and after taking a beating last week, and having so called NFL expert (Warren Sapp) say, “their defense is too old”. Someone is going to pay and it is going to be Travaris Jackson and the Seahawks. Have Yinz seen the photo of Jaba the hut from Star Wars? He looks just like Warren Sapp, “too old my arse Warren, in fact you can kiss my arse”. I am quite confident our boys will rebound…they better!!!

Now, I know we have all read what the experts think about how old the Steelers are, but I am here to tell you we are going to kick some Seahawk tail feathers on Sunday. No excuses from last week, we just did not show up and the Ravens did. It happens, get over it. The Ravens were quoted saying “this was their Super Bowl” good for them. But someone needs to tell them there are 15 more games to be played, and at least one more against our boys, and our boys will remember. They will remember the two point play they used and all the trash talking they did. Oh, baby can’t wait until November 6th. Are you with me Steelers fans?? If so, I expect you to show up this Sunday at HEINZ FIELD WEST and wave those terrible towels and dance the STEELER POLKA, because it all begins tomorrow. Our boys are just one week late.

This is going to be a great year and we at Harold’s have added four more TVs including two 55” TVs to create a better experience for you, our fans. There is not a bad seat on the patio! We also give a special thanks to our sponsor Miller Coors Brewing; make sure yinz get your bucket of beers! Also new sponsoring Heinz Field West this year is Absolute and Fris Vodka! Special thanks to them as well. Yinz also better check out our Bloody Mary bar and sample our very own Horse Radish Infused Absolute Vodka to make your Bloody Mary that much better!

We have sold out of our tickets for the Steelers/Cardinals game but we are still taking tailgate and bus packages. I cannot believe we sold out of our 200 tickets to the game! Wow, that’s going to be a PAR-TAY!!

Just a reminder, please sign up for the Steelers Fanclub. Packages are only $20! That’ll get you an awesome fanclub shirt plus your official Steelers badge, which entitles you to a .10 cent beer each week and a 10 percent discount on all Steelers merchandise. Please also be sure to sign up for the Mel Blount Golf Tournament and buy your Steelers fanfest tickets! October 21-23rd is going to be a weekend to remember! Don’t wait, we WILL sell out!

FYI plenty of seats still available for this week’s game, so call Harold’s and make your reservations NOW! 480-488-1906. See Yinz Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! There I go again…those damn Polamalu bombers!

Hall of Famer Mel Blount, Mike Merriweather, Louis Lipps, Mike Wagner, Andy Russell and other former Steelers to make appearances throughout the weekend

(CAVE CREEK, Ariz.) – When the Arizona Cardinals play the Pittsburgh Steelers this season on October 23, the tiny Western town of Cave Creek, Arizona will be transformed into a virtual suburb of Pittsburgh when more than 1,000 Steelers converge to watch the game from the bar they fondly call “Heinz Field West” – Harold’s Cave Creek Corral. To celebrate, Harold’s and Mel Blount Youth Home are hosting a “Steelers Fan Fest Weekend” Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23.

The festive weekend kicks off on Friday, October 21 with the Mel Blount Youth Home Charity Golf Tournament at Tatum Ranch Golf Club,29888 N. Tatum Ranch Drive, in Cave Creek. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Mel Blount Youth Home, a multi-service treatment program for young males who are victims of child abuse and neglect.

On Saturday, October 22, the desert town that boasts just one stop sign will be bustling with fans donning their black and gold. Harold’s popular “Fan Fest” fund-raiser takes place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature chances to mingle with former Steelers players and WDVE radio personalities, interactive games,Pittsburgh delicacies,IronCity beer, and live music featuring local andPittsburgh bands, including Donnie Iris. Former Steelers scheduled to make appearances include Hall of Famer Mel Blount, Mike Merriweather, Louis Lipps, Mike Wagner, Andy Russell, and others.

Rookie tickets are $10, which include entry to the event and general admission standing at the Donnie Iris concert; Pro Bowl Fan Fest tickets are $25, which include entry to the event and general admission concert seats; and Hall of Fame tickets are $50, which include a VIP concert seat within the first few rows, access to the VIP patio lounge with complimentary appetizers, and a special Steelers gift. All proceeds will benefit Mel Blount Youth Home.

On Game Day, Sunday, October 23, Harold’s will bus 200 fans to their tailgate party at theUniversityofPhoenixstadium. Some 1,000 fans are expected to watch the game from Harold’s and cheer their beloved Steelers while waving their “terrible towels” and singing Polka and Steelers fight songs. All proceeds will benefit Mel Blount Youth Home.

Harold’s Corral co-owner andPittsburghnative Danny Piacquadio said Steelers fans always come together for a good cause.

“We’ve tied in fund-raisers with three Super Bowl parties here and many other big games, and the fans always go above and beyond to help. Even during the last Super Bowl, when our neighboring Packers bar across the dirt parking lot won the game, we won the challenge to see which fans could bring the most canned goods and donations for our local food bank. We’re expecting that same kind of enthusiasm for our Fan Fest weekend and for Mel Blount Youth Home,” Piacquadio said.

Former Steelers great Mel Blount, president of The Mel Blount Youth Home, said, “This is a great event for the Youth Home and I know Steelers fans will really enjoy all the festivities that are planned for the weekend.”

Wow, what a crazy off season, but they’re BACK and it is time for football – Steelers Football that is; Championship football. It’s also time for the greatest fans to ignite our Steel furnace passion, and that passion will be no more evident than at the best Steelers bar in the country – Harold’s Corral.
Our beloved Men of Steel may have come up short in Super Bowl 45 but Steeler Nation rose to the top. From Arizona to Zelienople and all over the World we are STILL the best fans. As hard as it is for me to say, the Packers were the better team that Sunday. I want to thank all Yinz fans who came to Harold’s Corral and participated in the biggest gathering of Steeler fans anywhere outside of Dallas for SB 45. Over 3,800 of yinz Black and Gold faithful were in attendance. It was amazing just to look around and witness the sea of black and gold in the desert. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and thank you for continuing to make Harold’s a part of your life on Sunday’s. Harold’s is where families, both kids and adults, gather to share their Sunday’s with hundreds of other black and gold loyalists . I’m very proud to be a host to all of yinz. So dust off those Terrible Towels and start practicing our chant: “Here we go Steelers, here we go”! Let’s get ready to POLKA. Harold’s will soon be erupting with noise and feel like Heinz Field West once again.
Thursday, August 18 at 5:00 pm: A Thursday night pre-season game is when Harold’s officially kicks off our fan club. It will be the first opportunity to secure your fan club membership and season table passes.

Our beloved Men of Steel may have come up short in Super Bowl 45 but Steeler Nation rose to the top. From Arizona to Zelienople and all over the World we are STILL the best fans. As hard as it is for me to say, the Packers were the better team on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers was great and the Pack’s defense played very good especially after two starters left the game. I want to thank all Yinz fans who came to Harold’s Corral and participated in the biggest gathering of Steeler fans anywhere outside of Dallas for SB 45. Over 3700 of yinz Black and Gold faithful were in attendance. It was amazing just to look around and witness the sea of black and gold in the desert. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I hope we met everyone’s expectations in providing a venue and atmosphere for all yinz. If any of Yinz have suggestions for future games or photos of Harold’s during the game please email them to haroldscorral@qwestoffice.net . Other than not winning the game, to me, it was a great experience. As I said after the game, we will keep our heads high because we are still the greatest football team in America. We are, without a doubt, the greatest fans of any team in professional sports. We all should be proud and realize we are blessed to be part of the Steelers family. I Believe in our boys and believe we will be receiving our 7th Lombardi trophy very soon.

I want to thank all our fans who have supported our Steelers at Harold’s all year long and especially during the playoffs. It was truly an amazing show of support for the Black and Gold. I also want to thank all Yinz who donated to our Kick the Packers fans cans challenge because we won! The black and gold faithfull donated over 1700 pounds of food at Harold’s compared to the 758 pounds of food the Packer fans donated. All that food has help to fill the shelves of the local Desert Foothills Food Bank. Truly amazing, and another reason to prove we have the greatest fans in America. Our reward is the Buffalo Chip bar (Packers Bar) will have to fly the Steelers flag over their building for a week.

There were some disappointing things, other than the loss. As part of our rivalry bet with The Buffalo Chip and because the Steelers lost, I have to wear a Packers Jersey for a week. I promise all of Yinz I will have a Steelers shirt underneath that Jersey, which will be closer to my heart. I will always believe in and love the Pittsburgh Steelers and Steeler Nation. I also want Yinz to know the New York Times wrote an Article that ran on Monday about Harold’s and our Steelers fans and the Buffalo Chip and there Packers fans. It is posted online and I have provided the link: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/07/sports/football/07bars.html?_r=1&ref=superbowl

It was a good article about both bars and our fans but the writer, who is a Packers fan, was misinformed in his article in which I take exception. Glenn Swain the author of the piece wrote after the game “As saddened Steelers fans silently poured into the street, Piacquadio was nowhere to be found.” This is BS! Immediately after the game, for Yinz that were there, I got on Stage and thanked everyone who attended and commented on our great fans and our great team. 30 minutes later I got on top of our bar and raised a toast to all yinz for supporting Harold’s and making it the largest Steelers bar in the world. So if Glenn, the writer, who is a Packers fan, couldn’t find me – he was not looking! Feel free to send an email to the author and New York Times discussing the false hood of his statement.

I also wanted to apologize to Yinz who paid $20 to park in other lots. Harold’s did not receive any part of that money; it was other land owners of Cave Creek who chose to charge that amount. I also want to let you know that Harold’s did not charge for the limited Parking we had on our property, and we also secured Parking at the center of Cave Creek with free shuttle service to Harold’s. We charged $5 for that parking and the proceeds from that charge went to the Foothills Food Bank. Once again it was a great season – we came up just short of our goal, but I’ve got a feeling Pittsburgh wil have that 7th Lombardi Trophy real soon! I love ya black and gold! Please come back to Harold’s and enjoy our great food and experience our awesome bands and entertainment. Steeler Nation is still and always will be Champions!

Danny Piacquadio

When attending, everyone needs to be decked out in their finest Steelers attire to represent Steeler nation at Harold’s. To honor Myron Cope, the official Super Bowl Terrible Towels have just arrived and we will have them available for purchase. We also have officially licensed Super Bowl 45 caps and t-shirts hot off the presses. Harold’s will be offering free breakfast buffet for fans that show up for the television spots. We need Yinz here and we need you to represent, after all it is Super Bowl weekend!!!

We all know that Harold’s Corral is the best place for Steelers Nation, to watch a Steelers game! What you may not know is that the bar next door, “The Buffalo Chip”, is a Packers bar and they think they have better fans than us. Game on Baby and Yinz has never let us down before.

This call of arms reaches out to all who bleed the Black and Gold. Come one, come all! Bring your Terrible Towels and Steelers garb to fight this so-called coup in Cave Creek. We are also doing “Fans Kick The PACKERS Cans” Challenge: Which Fan group Will Bring the most Canned Foods and Toiletries. All donated food items will go directly to the local Foothills Food Bank. They will weigh donations after the Big Game. When we win, The Buffalo Chip will have to fly our Steelers flag on premise.

What yinz need to do now is show up at Harold’s between 6:00 am to 7:00 am to enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet and show your never-wavering Steelers loyalty.

THE FINAL TRIPLE YOI & YOKEL DOKEL SB 45

That’s correct fans the Triple Yoi and Okel Dokel call in memory of Myron Cope is well deserved. It’s hard to believe it is almost game time baby and who could ask for a better matchup. Two of the most storied franchises in the NFL playing for Lombardi’s trophy, a total of 9 trophies between us. What’s even better is that we have the greatest fans and we bleed black and gold from birth, and represent better than any team in the NFL. I will also give credit to the Packers fans, and in my opinion are second best, in the NFL that’s why Cave Creek will be rocking this Sunday and why Harold’s Corral already has 2600 Steelers fans who purchased tables. We are expecting over 3500 of Yinz crazy, terrible towel waving kielbasa eating fans to show their support for the Men of Steel, and Steelers Nation at the Greatest Steelers Bar anywhere.

The teams match up extremely well and are very similar in coaches, players, and schemes. The defensive coordinator for the pack is Dom Capers who coached with the Steelers with the Great Dick Lebeau. The Pack also has Kevin Greene and Darren Perry as coaches, both of them had great careers with the Steelers as players and both coached for our beloved team. Mike McCarthy, their head coach, was born in the Pittsburgh area and grew up waving the terrible towel. It goes to show you Pittsburgh breeds success but I also know success will be ours come Sunday Baby – you better believe. If you look at players on both teams they are similar. We have Big Ben, they have Aaron Rodgers, we have James Harrison they have Clay Mathews. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the last time we won the Super Bowl we had the Defensive Player of the Year – James Harrison. Troy Polamalu now shares that honor. They might ha ve Charles Woodson but with that being said I will take our boys into battle any day of the week against any of those players, or any other team’s players and that’s why we are 6 time Super Bowl Champs and climbing the Stairway to Seven. It will make for a great game though. I know this is going to be a physical game and by watching James Harrison on media day he is pissssssed off and is going to get some – look out Rodgers. I believe we will prevail because of defense and Big Ben. Big Ben has had a tough journey and doesn’t get much respect. He will prove again on Sunday he is a QB that may not look good but he just wins baby. He also has a chip on his shoulder after being blindsided by Peter King’s article just released in Sports Illustrated. Poor timing Rodger and Pete and we will show you not to mess with the Men of Steel come this Sunday. Man I am getting excited just thinking about the game. Booya this is going to be fun and I hope to see you all at Heinz Field West this Sunday – Here we go Steelers, here we go! Myron is smiling down.

I am bringing out the triple yoi which I only do on special occasions. The triple yoi is for us beating the Ravens, and for a Steeler Victory this Sunday. I heard it a hundred times; “It’s hard to beat a the Ravens, they have Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Ed Reed they are a younger team Blah Blah Blah.” True, if you’re the frickin Cleveland Browns but we are talking about the “Men of Steel”. Six time Super Bowl Champs, and walking up the Stairway to Seven. Do you believe? I do baby and I will witness it at Harold’s with over 2000 of my closest Steeler friends. That’s correct we had over 1500 rabid fans at Harold’s to watch our boys fry up some Raven wings. We are expecting over 2000 chip chop ham loving, beer drinking, crazy terrible towel waving, bleeding black and gold fans! The question is “where will you be?” Where else are you going to go? Oh maybe some Mamby Pamby bar, hell no, “Jack wagon” make your way to Heinz Field West to represent Steeler Nation.

What a crowd last week and what energy reminiscent of our Superbowl 43 run – oh yeah the feeling is back! With the great crowd swelling to about 1600 people, everything was great, plenty of parking, plenty of beer and plenty of Pittsburgh “smash mouth” football! Two stats say it all – Steelers D only gave up 125 yards, and James Harrison had a monster game, 3 sacks, and was all up in Flacco’s face, that’s how we roll! This week’s party will be even bigger. Already on order: extra tent, giant screen TV’s, extra parking and most importantly extra port o johns and Coors Light beer. I’ve got a feeling!!!!!!
